Richard Attenborough in care home

British actor-filmmaker Richard Attenborough, who is battling ill health, has been moved into a care home here.

The 89-year-old is wheelchair-bound after a 2008 fall, and in 2012, he sold off the $18.4 million home he shared here with his wife Sheila Sim after deciding it was not "practical" to keep the mansion.

Sim was moved to a care home after she diagnosed with senile dementia, and now Attenborough has joined her in the facility, reports contactmusic.com.

"The family home has been sold and he has been at a care home with his wife since then," their son Michael told Britain's Sunday Mirror. (Source)

Stephen Fry under treatment for spider bite

British actor Stephen Fry has sought medical attention for a spider bite.

The actor sustained the injury earlier this week, and he is now on a 10-day course of antibiotics to treat it, reports contactmusic.com.

In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page before his doctor's appointment, Fry wrote, "Bite mark now hot and huge. Shall have my spider bite looked at it (in) case it's a Brown Recluse spider and I get necrosis and ulceration, eew."

Post the consultation with the doctor, he wrote: "Heavens: antihistamine cream, hydrocortisone and a ten day course of antibiotics - all for a little nip from an incy wincy spider." (Source)

Tilda Swinton sleeps in glass box at NYC museum

Tilda Swinton has taken up residence at New York City's Museum of Modern Art, where she is spending her days sleeping in a glass box as part of a surprise performance art installation.

A source told Gothamist that "The Maybe," as it is called, will be taking place on random days throughout the rest of the month and even the museum staff doesn't know when the 'Moonrise Kingdom' actress will show up, Us magazine reported.

The 52-year-old Oscar winner will be spending the whole day snoozing in her glass container, which is equipped with just a mattress, linens, and a jug of water, whenever she appears.

Swinton, who hails from Scotland, conceived the installation nearly two decades ago and performed it for the first time in 1995 at London's Serpentine Gallery. She did a second showing in Rome a year later. (Source)

Harry Styles's grandfather proud of him

Singer Harry Styles's grandfather Brian Selley says he is proud of his grandson and all that fame has not changed him at all.

Selley is the father of Styles's mother Anne Cox and says the teen sensation, who is a member of the band One Direction, is still loving and caring like old times.

"I'm very proud of him. Harry hasn't changed at all. He's still the same. He always has a smile on his face and is very loving and caring," mirror.co.uk quoted Selley as saying.

"We're all lucky to have him. To me he's just lovable Harry. I don't think of him as this well-known pop star like everyone else," he added.

Selley, 77, recently attended a One Direction gig and says the frenzy of fans reminded him of the time when the legendary band The Beatles performed.

"I remember Beatlemania when I was younger and it was very much like that. The girls were screaming so loud - it was deafening," Selley said.

"My daughter Anne was concerned before the concert that the noise would be too loud for me but I would really like to go again," he added. (Source)

Heath Ledger's older sibling Kate Ledger has admitted that she shared a strong sibling bond with her brother and misses him everyday since his death in January 2008 aged just 28.

The talented writer, who has written a series of children's books called Twin Magic, inspired by her own identical twin girls, Rori and Scarlett, said that that he knew about the concept of the book and he'd be proud of her, News.com.au reported.

The 38-year-old, who was her brother's personal publicist, moved away from the industry, that he had loved so much, to set up a production company with her friend and started writing. (Source)

Christina Aguilera advises Justin Bieber on life

Christina Aguilera has apparently given some words of wisdom to Justin Bieber asking him to stand up for himself.

The 'Voice' judge, who has experienced the pressures of being young, rich and famous in Hollywood, admitted in an interview with Hollyscoop.com that it's hard to grow up in front of a camera, the Mirror reported.

"You learn as you get older to take moments for yourself, step away from the camera, re-inspire yourself as an artist, rejuvenate and refresh," she said.

The 'Genie in a Bottle' hit maker advised the 19-year-old singer to not let people force him into decisions he doesn't agree with and have him be something he's not.

The former Mickey Mouse Club star added that she has always been really honest and true to her roots and been really grounded.
