If Chris Brown's alleged
hit-and-run is found to have violated the terms of his 2009 battery case on
Rihanna, the rapper could face up to four years behind bars.
According to the 24-year-old
singer, he did nothing wrong when he was involved in a minor accident last
week, claiming that the other driver is ducking attempts to discuss the matter,
TMZ.com has reported.
He allegedly had refused to
give his driver's license number and provided wrong insurance information to
the driver of a Mercedes he rear-ended, which, if found true, could put his
probation in the earlier case in jeopardy.
Sources close to him said that
Brown gave the woman all the correct information but when his lawyer tried to
call her up, she hung up on him; subsequent calls to her have gone unanswered. (Source)
