Miranda Kerr gets dumped by Oz retail brand for upcoming model Jessica Gomes

Australian model Jessica Gomes has replaced Miranda Kerr as the new face for departmental store chain David Jones.
Contract negotiations between the retailer brand and its million-dollar-a-year star model Kerr collapsed, with the prestigious department store "terminating" its relationship with her on Friday morning.
Kerr and David Jones had been renegotiating the model's contract since the start of the year, however it is understood talks broke down over a long list of demands she was making as part of the new deal.
Kerr's management were taken by surprise by David Jones' decision, with the retailer due to announce officially on Saturday that it has hired emerging model Gomes as its new fashion ambassador, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Gomes is due to shoot the spring/summer 2014 David Jones catalogue in just over a month and will be the star attraction at the store's glittering fashion launch scheduled for August, which had traditionally been Kerr's domain.
Unlike previous ambassadors such as Megan Gale, who have retained a commercial relationship with the store even after their ambassadorial duties have ended, Kerr will not be appearing in any catalogues or in any fashion shows. (Source)

My book better than Gwyneth Paltrow's as I grew up poor: Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba has taken a massive dig at Gwyneth Paltrow, saying that her organic advice is totally different from the 'Shakespeare in Love' star, as she grew up in a poor family.
The Fantastic Four actress made the comment while promoting her new book 'The Honest Life: Living Naturally and True To You.'
She told The New York Daily News that her lifestyle tips will be more relatable to everyday mums.
"Alicia Silverstone is a vegan, so she's the extreme side of it. Gwyneth Paltrow probably lives a very similar lifestyle, but I didn't grow up with a bunch of money, so my tips are much more grounded: repurposing things and making things at home," the Mirror quoted her as saying.
Alba grew up in a working-class, military family in suburban California, while Paltrow had a privileged upbringing in Los Angeles with her director dad and actress mum. (Source)
