Helen Mirren rallies for military charity


Veteran actress Helen Mirren has urged people to back a military support charity after a soldier was brutally murdered on London streets.
A 25-year-old Army Drummer named Lee Rigby was killed in Woolwich, south east London Wednesday.
When he breathed his last, Rigby was wearing a t-shirt promoting Help For Heroes, a charity for troops injured in conflicts. Now "The Queen" star is urging fans to stand in support of the organisation.
She herself donned a Help For Heroes shirt for a photocall for the purpose, reports dailystar.co.uk.
"The young man who died... was showing where his heart lay by wearing his Help For Heroes top. It was monstrous that he should be killed for that. I think Help For Heroes is a fantastic organisation - it is a charity that does amazing work. This attack won't stop that and hopefully Help For Heroes will just get stronger," Mirren told The Sun. Singer Beyonce Knowles has created her own fashion range named Beyonce Boutique for a fashion rental website.
She has come up with designs for Rent the Runway, which lets people hire designer wear at an affordable price.
"Making women feel confident and beautiful is something I've always been passionate about. That's why joining forces with Rent the Runway was so organic," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Beyonce as saying.
"It's more than just access to beautiful clothes; it's about making women look and feel their best," she added.

Actor David Hasselhoff, 60, has bought himself a new mansion for as much as $1.95 million.
He purchased the 5,767 sq. ft. Mediterranean home in Calabasas last week, sources close to the deal told tmz.com.
The mansion, complete with five bedrooms and six bathrooms, sits in a small gated community, and even has its own basketball court. (Source)

Hollywood star Brad Pitt follows his former fiancee Gwyneth Paltrow's father advice on remaining grounded.
Pitt was romantically involved with Paltrow in the mid-1990s, and the couple was briefly engaged before splitting in 1997. And that's when he learnt some life lessons from her father, late director Bruce Paltrow.
Despite 15 years, a marriage to Jennifer Aniston, and raising six kids with his current fiancee Angelina Jolie, Pitt admits Bruce Paltrow's tip to refer to himself as "self-employed" rather than "an actor" has kept him grounded, reports contactmusic.com.
"I learned that from Bruce Paltrow. I always liked it. It's a humble way to describe what we do. (If a stranger asks what I do) well, I'd be very Midwest about it, very Missouri. I'd say, 'This and that.' I'd say, 'I'm a dad, just like you.'," Pitt told Esquire magazine. (Source)

Amanda Bynes arrested for drug possession


Actress Amanda Bynes was arrested at her apartment here for possession of marijuana. She even threw the evidence out of the window, reports tmz.com.
She was arrested Thursday night.
A building official called police after spotting Bynes in the lobby with a joint, acting erratically and talking to herself, said law enforcement sources.
Bynes let the policemen in when they knocked at her door, and when the police saw the bong, she quickly tossed it out of the window.
Bynes, wearing a platinum blonde wig, was placed under arrest. She reportedly went ballistic, and yelled at the police, asking: "Don't you know who I am?"
She was booked for criminal possession of pot as well as reckless endangerment and felony tampering with evidence, as per the tmz.com report.
Law enforcement sources also revealed that the actress was briefly taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation and then taken to the station for booking.
She was then taken to the night court just before the clock struck midnight. (Source)

Amanda Seyfried has said that she may have lost some of her best assets.
The 27-year-old actress told Ellen DeGeneres on 'The Ellen Show' that she looked a lot better when she was 15, asserting that she had huge breasts, the New York Daily News reported.
Then she came to Hollywood and lost weight to look thin and fit.
But when DeGeneres asked Seyfried if she missed her breasts, she replied that though they were quite uncomfortable, they looked beautiful.

Isla Fisher had near to death experience on sets of 'Now You See Me'


Australian actress Isla Fisher, who will be seen in Louis Leterrier's Now You See Me, recently revealed her near to death experience on the sets.
Fisher is playing the role of an escape artist in the movie and is seen doing death-defying stunts, including her main stunt inside a water tank.
"On the third day, in one of the last shots, there was a problem with the safety and my chain caught around the bottom grid. I thought, this is how I'm going go? In front of all these extras, in my swimming costume?" the actress said while recalling the moment when she jumped in the tank.
The actress was highly praised by the director for taking special training and doing her own stunts.
The magic consultant on the movie, David Kwong also heaped praise on the talented actress.
"She (Isla) was a workhorse. She learned to hold her breath for the water escape. She really does go down in that water in those shackles. It was incredible to see her perseverance and her work ethic," he said.
The movie is set around four talented magicians, who mesmerize an international audience with a series of bold and original heists, all the while pursuing a hidden agenda that has the FBI and Interpol scrambling to anticipate their next move in.
The film, which also stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Melanie Laurent, Woody Harrelson, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman, is set to hit Indian theatres on 7th June, 2013. (Source)

Kesha claims to drink her own urine in a revolting clip from her MTV reality show 'My Crazy Beautiful Life'.
In the footage, the 'Tik Tok' singer can be seen sitting in a car with her best friend Savannah, who is telling the star how her mother once went for mountaineering with a woman who drinks her own pee every day, the Sun reported.
Kesha, then asks "Isn't it good for you? I'll drink my own pee."
The camera then cuts away and a sound of weeing is heard.
Savannah then asks: "Could you wait 'till we're outside?"
The next footage shows the singer holding a large water bottle, which is a third full of liquid.
Kesha is then seen taking a sip from the bottle as her friends groan in disgust. (Source)

Psy's look-alike dupes stars at Cannes


A look alike of the Korean star 'Psy' had a gala time with top Hollywood celebrities at Cannes.
The fake PSY partied with stars such as Naomie Harris and Adrien Brody at a party thrown by luxury jeweller- Chopard, the Sun reported.
The man also tried his hands at DJ decks at an event hosted by a Russian oil-magnate and where big names including Trance beauty Rosario Dawson were present.
A source at the film festival revealed to the publication that the fraudster, Denis Carre, 34, who wore Psy's trademark suit jacket and round shade, also had three security guards with him through out the event.
The source added that the man enjoyed free drinks, including three bottles of Cristal Rose champagne with lunch.
Carre also had a "manager" with him to negotiate for an upcoming appearance of 'Psy' at a festival in Monaco.
He even performed the 'Gangnam Style' dance live on French radio.
Carre, who belongs to a small town of Blanzat, told the publication that he got the idea to pose as the Korean star when he was mistaken for him in a Dublin club and people gathered around him and got totally out of control.
Meanwhile, the original 'Psy', tweeted about his look alike: "Seems like there's another ME at Cannes. . . say Hi to him." (Source)

There's no ill-will between singer John Mayer's former girlfriends Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
Swift dated Mayer from 2009 to 2010 while Perry has been in an off-and-on relationship with him since last year, reports entertainmentwise.com
Indeed, Swift and Perry's friendship was on display on social networking platform Twitter.
Perry changed the lyrics of Swift's song "I knew you were trouble" to reveal her dinner plans. She posted: "I knew you were truffle when you walked in."
